Heroes of Everyday Life - We THANK YOU!

Heroes of Everyday Life - We THANK YOU!

Lesezeit: 5 minutes | Monday, 23. Mar 2020

The curfew imposed due to the Corona crisis requires citizens to practice social distancing within their own four walls. While most people are staying at home, isolating themselves as much as possible, and thus contributing to slowing down the spread of COVID-19 during this difficult time, others continue to work despite the risks, keeping society running with their dedication.

At this point, TachoEASY would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all truck drivers, medical personnel, cashiers, police officers, firefighters, volunteers, and everyone else who is maintaining our daily supply. Despite their incredible efforts for our society, the working conditions of our "everyday heroes" are not always optimal. The reality for truck drivers is less than ideal, especially since the closure of many rest areas, making it increasingly difficult for them to find food or access restrooms while on the road.

Together with truck driver and women's ambassador Christina Scheib and the Bavarian Association of Transport and Logistics Companies (LBT) e.V., we wanted to personally thank the heroes of the Corona crisis because our society continues to function thanks to them. To show our appreciation, we prepared sandwiches and "thank you bags" while strictly adhering to hygiene regulations, which were then distributed to truck drivers, police officers, emergency medical service personnel, and postal workers. Christina Scheib documented her day and the action in an Instagram story. The action took place last Friday, with Christina Scheib alone wearing safety equipment and always maintaining a minimum distance of 1.5 meters.

Many thanks also to all doctors and medical personnel in hospitals, cashiers, and countless other food supply workers who continue to fulfill our basic needs during the crisis, as well as police officers, firefighters, soldiers, employees of energy and water companies - heartfelt thanks to all of them. This also applies to many volunteers and all other professions who continue to work despite the risks.

A heartfelt THANK YOU from all of us.
