Who does the regulation affect?

The Driving Log regulation of the Austrian Labor Inspectorate requires the keeping of a driving log under the Working Hours Act. This regulation applies to the following groups:

1. Drivers of motor vehicles used for the carriage of goods, with a total weight not exceeding 3.5 tonnes
2. Drivers of vehicles used for the transport of fewer than 9 persons (including the driver)

Additionally, keeping a driving log is also mandatory for vehicles not equipped with an analog or digital control device.
