Intelligent telematics systems can fundamentally capture and transmit the following data:

  • Data around the vehicle via Fleet Management Interface (FMS data)
  • Data from the Digital Tachograph including driver card and mass storage (DTCO data)
  • Data on current and historical positions of the vehicle (GPS data)

Examples of FMS data include:

  • Vehicle speed
  • Total consumption
  • Mileage
  • Clutch pedal pressed
  • Cruise control (on / off)
  • Accelerator pedal position
  • Auxiliary drive (active-inactive)
  • Total operating hours
  • Fuel level
  • Axle weight
  • Mileage until the next service

Examples of DTCO data include:

  • Driving times
  • Working times
  • Standby times
  • Rest times
  • Mass storage data

Examples of GPS data include:

  • Vehicle position
  • Speed
  • Time and duration of a driven route
  • Distance of a driven route
