
Which data can be analysed by a telematic system?
FMS, DTCO & GPS

Intelligent telematics systems can fundamentally capture and transmit the following data:
- Data around the vehicle via Fleet Management Interface (FMS data)
- Data from the Digital Tachograph including driver card and mass storage (DTCO data)
- Data on current and historical positions of the vehicle (GPS data)
Examples of FMS data include:
- Vehicle speed
- Total consumption
- Mileage
- Clutch pedal pressed
- Cruise control (on / off)
- Accelerator pedal position
- Auxiliary drive (active-inactive)
- Total operating hours
- Fuel level
- Axle weight
- Mileage until the next service
Examples of DTCO data include:
- Driving times
- Working times
- Standby times
- Rest times
- Mass storage data
Examples of GPS data include:
- Vehicle position
- Speed
- Time and duration of a driven route
- Distance of a driven route
