How automatic remote reading works

To read and transmit the data from the tachograph and driver cards, a telematics box is installed in the vehicle, which is connected to the CAN connection of the digital tachograph. The telematics box contains a SIM card, which sends the information via a secure data connection from the telematics box to the PC with BlueLOGICO®.

The download of the driver card starts automatically as soon as a driver inserts his driver card for the first time on a day. The vehicle unit data is usually downloaded every week. BlueLOGICO® establishes a connection to the respective tachograph at defined intervals and authenticates the download. If multiple tachographs need to send data simultaneously, they queue up.

Evaluation and archiving

In addition to complying with the legally prescribed intervals for downloading (28 days for the driver card, 3 months for the vehicle unit), the entrepreneur has a reliable basis for deployment planning with the daily evaluation of driving and rest times.
